The role of Intellectual Property in the Life Sciences and Chemical industries cannot be overestimated. Companies developing pharmaceuticals and drugs invest huge R&D resources long before they are able to prove the effectiveness of a new product and obtain regulatory approval. However the resulting products offer the potential for spectacular returns. Properly protected intellectual property (IP) adds tangible economic value and facilitates the development of a market. The appropriate IP management is vital in order to develop a competitive advantage and raise the commercial value of the product.

The Luzzatto Group earned its solid reputation in working with leading international corporations in Israel and abroad.

The Life Science Group is extremely sensitive to the diverse client needs and assists the firm’s clients from the early stages of securing IP rights and throughout the development of the product. The Luzzatto Group assists in forging the IP strategy individually suited to each client and to its goals.

The members of the Life Science and Chemistry Group at Luzzatto & Luzzatto patent attorneys have a rich technical background in chemical engineering, cell biology, protein chemistry, organic chemistry, chromatography, genetics, virology, microbiology, molecular biology, signal transduction, biotechnology, immunology and others. Their broad interdisciplinary knowledge allows the group to address complicated IP issues.
